House on a Hill

This is a canvas I finished a little bit ago. It's done with acrylics. It has had several other faces until I finally settled on this one. I am being lazy right now, I am not sure of the measurements but it is sitting on a desk chair in the picture. I had a lot of conflicting emotions while painting this piece. Let me know what you think.

This looks like you had conflicts! The calmness of the sky and the fiery/vibrancy of the earth... whew! But, when I look closer/longer, I feel a tension/movement in the sky that makes me feel like something's gonna happen... ; ) Makes me wonder if I want to go see the house in the background... what may be going on there... This is a fascinating picture! I like it!

Yes, I can see conflicting, and perhaps even heated, emotions! I don't feel from it that you WANT to be angry (or upset), but you really can't help it. The situation demands such a response.

The yellow to me is to put the best face on things, but the red will win out. It's explosive!

All of this has your head in a turmoil as well. Such a choppy sky, I know how you feel (this is a GUESS) and wouldn't want to be you right now! Been there too many times.

You have your faith...build on that. The rest of the situations may dim to "tempests in teapots" if you build on your faith (Mountains).

So, how'd I do?

It's an emotional picture that I'm glad you created. You needed to create it. If you can conquer whatever it may represent, you might want to hang it!

Hope this helps! It was fun!

Thank you ladies. I am going to print these and put it with the painting. Just a little reminder for me to keep on going. Thanks again!!!

when i looked at the piece i thought WOW!!!
look at the passion each stroke evokes...

passion can be conflicting and not neccessarily angry.
when i see your story beside it saying you had conflicts...

that made me think differently about how i was seeing the piece...
oh
well
now i can see anger in the fields
with the sky telling me all is getting better...

passionate piece is still a good descriptive...to me

I love this. The color is so exciting. And maybe that represents your emotions you went through while painting it.
